Professional Background:
Master Christopher Ballard has dedicated his life to the martial arts, amassing over three decades of experience. As a Fifth Dan Kukkiwon Certified Master with World Taekwondo, he has reached one of the highest levels of expertise in the discipline.
Master Ballard's teaching career spans over 35 years, during which he co-founded and served as the head instructor at Champion Martial Arts in Albuquerque, NM. His leadership and passion for martial arts have not only shaped countless students but also led to the remarkable achievements of his three daughters, Briana, Mariana, and Monica. As their coach, they became nationally ranked athletes, earning All-American honors, and representing the USA as A/B-Team members.
Currently, Master Ballard continues to impart his extensive knowledge and skills as the full-time head instructor at Korean Academy of Taekwondo, which he took over from Master Bill Pottle in 2020. His comprehensive approach to martial arts education ensures that students receive well-rounded and effective training as well as life-long lessons for all ages.
